The formation of the Fire Marshals Association of Oklahoma (FMAO) took place in 1989. The goal for the organization was to provide a non-profit that would help educate and share knowledge through friendship, mentoring, and public education. The association has continued to grow from its humble beginnings and is a leader for code administration and public education in the State of Oklahoma. FMAO expands on the 5 E’s of the American Fire Service (Education, Enforcement, Emergency Response, Engineering and Economics) through its mission and vision.
